As part of her residency at the Cannery Arts Centre, Alex Desebrock will transform the Art Room into an immersive space dedicated to Tree Listening.
For over 15 years, Alex has explored the question:
"What Does the World Need to Hear?"
In a time of disconnection, overwhelm, and climate crisis, her answer keeps returning to trees.
You're invited to step into the Art Room and experience Tree Listening—not just with your ears, but with your heart, mind, and senses. Read a book, smell a branch, cure your tree-blindness, draw a leaf, remember a tree that’s been important to you, or take a stethoscope into the Cannery gardens to listen more deeply.
Events:
Thurs 20 March at 3.30pm: Opening celebration
Wed 26 March at 5pm: Tree Talk
Sun 29 March at 8am: Tree Walk & Draw
