Well, in 2023 we had a Ken Done! And there’s been lots of interesting interpretations from license plates to fishing lures!

In 2023, thanks to our incredible community, we raised over $18,000. This year, we're hoping to reach $20,000 - every bid helps keep The Cannery going!

Yes, every single one. We make sure of it!

Can I get claim the sale as a donation to the Cannery?
Yes! Tick the box in the registration form & we’ll send you a tax-deductible receipt for the donation (the price it sells for in the auction) afterwards.

Not making art but keen to buy?
You can place a pencil or email bid from Fri 15 Nov, or join the Auction Night on Sun 14 Dec. Make sure to subscribe to our e-news or follow us on Instagram or Facebook so you don’t miss a thing!

Why is it 9 x 5?
The 9x5 exhibition was inspired by the Heidelberg School in Melbourne, first started in 1889. Cigar boxes measuring 9 x 5 inches were used and participating artists included Tom Roberts, Charles Conder, Frederick McCubbin and Arthur Streeton to name a few.
